nature-friendly way for the deceased to be respected in an eternal moment in a simple way. Green burial mainly involves the ecologically friendly treatment of the remains of the deceased so that they can be quickly absorbed by nature. Currently, the green burial methods in Hong Kong include burial in a memorial garden or burial at sea.
Green burials are
divided into two categories
1. Scattering ashes in the
memorial park
Scattering ashes in a memorial park means placing the ashes in a designated location in the garden, returning them to the nourishment of nature, allowing the ancestors to return to dust and earth to earth.
2. Burial at Sea
Sea burial is to throw the ashes into the sea, allowing the microorganisms in the water to decompose and realize the ecological cycle. At the same time, it allows the souls of the ancestors to merge with the sea forever, symbolizing the free flow of the souls in the boundless sea.
