If the loved one passes away in a hospital, the hospital will issue documents; please contact us as soon as possible, and a Paradise consultant will guide you through the subsequent procedures. If the death occurs at home, you must call the police immediately. Do not move the body. Wait for the police to process the scene before contacting us to arrange funeral services. In Hong Kong, the procedures for applying for death certificates and booking cremators are relatively convenient. In particular, the Government has set up joint offices on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon to enable applicants to handle a number of related procedures at the same location, including death registration, issuance of “death certificates”, approval of cremation applications, payment of cremation fees and cremation period booking.

Our funeral services include collection of hospital documents and issuance of death certificate on behalf of the family. Once we have finalized the details of the funeral, confirmed the date of the wake and the date of the funeral, we can then book the cremator or purchase the burial plot. Before the funeral, we will keep in touch with the family and answer their questions.

From the seventh day to two months from the date of cremation, the ash collector (who must be the applicant listed on the “Cremation Fee Receipt”) may collect the ashes of the deceased at the Cemeteries and Crematoria Section of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (Kowloon or Hong Kong Island District Offices) or the crematorium. When collecting the ashes, the applicant will be issued with a “Permit for Collection of Ashes”, commonly known as “Ashes Paper”.

After the funeral, Blessing Funeral Service Company will follow up on the retrieval of the ashes and arrange for the interment / scattering of ashes or gravesite construction, so that all the details of the funeral will be handled in a proper manner.
